The Jakry Kids: Curiosity Shop Preview
Make some new friends. Meet The Jakry Kids. "It was time to go home. School was out. Hip hurray. But where was our ride on this beautiful day?" The Jakry Kids are stranded at school. How will they get home? Come along as they embark upon a curious adventure!

The Jakry Kids: Curiosity Shop touches upon many lessons easily forgotten in our harried world. Walking is a good thing. Friends come in all ages. Brothers and sisters can cooperate. Even parents believe in magic when presented with enough evidence.

As an educational therapist and reading specialist, I found The Jakry Kids: Curiosity Shop to be a jewel. The expressive and colorful illustrations, beginning with the jacket cover, entice the reader to explore right away with The Jakry Kids. "School was out. Hip Hooray!" So begins their adventure. What kid is not going to relate immediately to that?!! The use of rhyme moves the story along delightfully. There is a rich vocabulary that is supported by a glossary on the website. This is a book that you don't have to urge your kids to read. It's a book that they'll be begging you to read.

The Jakry Kids: Curiosity Shop is funny and clever. The shop reminds me of my great grandma’s house and all of her treasures. I especially like the birds outside of the shop. If I had talking birds like that, my brother couldn’t sneak into my room.
